Since 1990, I have been actively training and competing in canine sports.  Thanks to my first Chinese Shar-pei, I have developed many friendships over the years.  Sherlock was a wonderful friend and a great ambassador for his breed!  After Sherlock’s passing in 1997, I purchased my first Border Collie.  Gabbey gave me her all as did Sherlock.  Between the two them, we obtained many titles and first time experiences!  Gabbey passed away just a week after she turned  13 this past month.  Because of these 2 dogs, I have had as many as 3 Border Collies,  8 Chinese Shar-pei and 1 Great Pyr  AND  a lot more dog equipment than a dog and lead!  And that Ford Mustang was put to rest by a Dodge Grand Caravan! 

I have accomplished many titles with my dogs in Obedience, Agility, Herding and Conformation.  Sherlock was also a Therapy Dog.

 Since 2009, I have been an Agility Trial Secretary and Show Secretary.  I am currently a Licensed AKC Agility Trial Secretary.  Laura Gummelt, Fonzi the Pembroke Corgi’s Mom, assists me with trials.  In the event of an emergency, a backup plan is in place.
